FAQ
-
What is included in a corporate wine tasting event?
Each wine tasting is professionally hosted by Paul Manthey or one of our first-class sommeliers, featuring a curated selection of unique wines with all setup provided. Optional cheese boards or food pairing recommendations can be added, and glassware can be hired if required. Every experience is relaxed, engaging, and seamlessly executed — blending education, interaction and connection for a truly memorable event. Refer to our Packages page for full details.
-
Do we need prior wine knowledge to enjoy the event?
Not at all. Our tastings are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned wine enthusiasts. Each experience is guided by Paul Manthey or one of our expert sommeliers, who make wine approachable, engaging and fun. Just come with an open mind and an eagerness to ask questions and explore.
-
Are the events more educational or social?
They can be as educational or as social as you like. Guests are free to fully immerse themselves and dive into the mind of an expert wine professional, or simply relax and socialise with colleagues and friends over a fine glass of wine. The experience is designed to suit every guest, whether you’re here to learn, connect or just enjoy the moment.
-
What wine packages do you offer?
We offer three distinct wine tasting packages, each tailored to suit your event style. Whether seated or standing, shorter or longer in format, the lineups range from everyday sipping wines with a twist to unique, thought-provoking selections that tantalise the palate. You also have the option to curate a bespoke wine lineup, allowing the experience to be perfectly matched to your theme, preferences or occasion.
-
Can we customize the wine selection (region, varietal, theme)?
Absolutely. We love creating bespoke lineups tailored to your preferences — whether you’d like to explore a specific region, focus on a favourite varietal or build an event around a particular theme. With strong connections to producers and wholesalers across the globe, we can source exceptional wines to suit any brief. Have a specific lineup in mind? Put us through our paces — we’re always up for the challenge.
-
Do you offer food pairings, cheese boards, or canapé recommendations?
Yes, we do. Cheese boards and food pairings can be added to any event for an additional charge, and we’re also happy to work with your caterers to create a seamless experience that showcases both the wine and food on offer — designed to excite even the most discerning taste buds. Whether it’s perfectly matched cheeses or thoughtfully paired canapés, we’ll help elevate your tasting into a truly memorable experience.
-
Can the experience be tailored to our company’s goals (team-building, client entertainment, celebration)?
Absolutely. Each event can be customised to align with your company’s goals — whether you’re hosting a team-building session, client event, or celebration. We can work seamlessly within your runsheet, coordinating around keynote speakers or presentations and can also provide speaker or guest gifts if required (additional charges apply). Every detail is tailored to ensure the experience feels perfectly integrated and effortlessly executed.
-
Do you come to our office or do we need a venue?
We can do either. Our event experiences can be hosted onsite at your office or at a venue of your choice — whichever best suits your event. With a process refined over many years, our execution is slick, seamless and professional. We pride ourselves on being highly responsive and focused on delivering optimum client outcomes, ensuring every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression.
-
Do you supply glassware?
Yes, we can provide glassware hire — simply refer to our Packages page for details. Glassware hire includes delivery, supply and cleaning, ensuring everything is handled seamlessly from start to finish.
-
What setup is required from us?
Depending on the style of event you choose, your input is usually minimal. For seated wine tastings, think tables of ten; for standing events, a serving station works perfectly. Some fridge space is always appreciated to keep wines at their best — or even better, ice buckets if available (we can supply these if needed). If you’re planning to offer additional beverages, just let us know — we can coordinate seamlessly or even assist with supply to ensure everything runs smoothly.
-
How much space is needed for a tasting?
We can host tastings in a variety of spaces — from boardrooms and breakout areas to dedicated event spaces in hospitality venues. The amount of space depends on the event style, though standing tastings are generally easier to plan and more flexible. For seated experiences, simply let us know what space you have available and we’ll guide you on how to optimise it to ensure a first-class experience for all guests.
-
What area do you service?
At present, we service Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Northern Rivers regions.
-
Is there a minimum group size or minimum charge?
Yes. Our seated experiences have a minimum of 10 guests, and standing events require a minimum of 20 guests. You’re very welcome to host a smaller group; however, minimum event costings will still apply.
-
Do you require a deposit and what are the payment terms?
A 30% deposit is required to secure your event date. Balances are due ten (10) business days prior to the event date via invoice. By agreeing to and paying an invoice for the provision of a tasting event, you confirm that only attendees aged over 18 years old will participate. ImmerSip reserves the right to refuse service to any attendee if they are deemed intoxicated.
-
What's your cancellation policy, can I change the date after booking?
If you cancel your event up to five (5) business days before it is scheduled, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel your event within five (5) business days of the event, you will forfeit the entire cost of the event.
If you wish to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, you are permitted to do so once (1) for another mutually convenient date. Rescheduling is at the sole discretion of ImmerSip.
